I would like to welcome everyone to my very first blog and new web page Knotty Knits! Whether you are a Knitter or Knot (pun intended) there is sure to be something here that catches your interest or eye. You might just be beginning to knit, a hardened professional, or like me: someone whose is passionately crazy about knitting and just cannot resist picking up those needles and carrying myself into that kalaedoscopic world of color, texture, pattern and design. Not to mention the ultimate satisfaction of beholding your finished piece.
I first started knitted at the age of five and have not stopped since. By profession, I am a teacher of Geography, now retired. And just as my lifelong teaching career took me places, knitting also taught me perseverance, patience, technique and most of all, it is a most delightful form of relaxation and meditation. I have knitted for my children, family, friends and colleagues.
As I start this new chapter, I hope you will all join me and contribute with your questions and input. I look forward to introducing knitting tutorials, questions and answer sessions, as well as sharing ideas and inspiration with you. Happy Knitting!
